Hi,
I’m new to the site so sorry in advance if theres already a thread dedicated to this, I looked but couldnt find one.
I’m looking to sort myself out two 10-pedal boards, (for two guitar rigs), and the time has come to think about mounting them on pedalboards. Both setups incorporate two wah/expression pedal type pedals and a few of EHX’s tube driven pedals. The other units on the board will be Memory Man/Boy Deluxe sized or smaller, with the possible exceptions of the amps footswitches and an Octafuzz…..
Does anyone know of anything on the market that will cut it? Ideally it needs to be sturdy and as portable as possible, flight case type rather than a bag.
…. Or if I’m going to have to build something can anyone give me any pointers?

March 24, 2011 at 6:12 am #114830Mr.GrimMemberif your looking for sum thing just as good as like a “Pedal Train” brand board, but more affordable…
try “LYT pedalboards” they sell on ebay (just search them. there a decent price, and i have 2 of them (and 3 others of other brand and home built mega sized one lol)
for what you get there more affordable than large name ones, very durable, multi levels on them (easier access to rear pedals/and under space for power supply) and come with a hard flight case (or gig bag optional)
check them out on Ebay (just search the name)
i do not work for them at all, i just use sum of there products and recommend.

I have one I use for pedals that I modified [swapped out the hinges for ones from Speedball, with removable pins, so I can take the lid off]. It’s rather gigantic and fits a moogerfooger, two yamaha fc-7s, a DI and seven boss/dod compact pedals.

April 5, 2011 at 3:18 am #114901efilhoMemberI use a SKB Stage 5 (SKB-55). The power supply on that thing is awesome.
I’m currently running 10 pedals, 8 being powered by the SBK-55. The other two are really tricky to power, otherwise the whole lot would be on the SBK-55 power supply.
The pedals powered up by the SKB-55 are:
Vox Wah, MXR Phase 90, MXR Microamp, Digitech Whammy, EHX BMP, EHX Smal CLone, Danelectro Coolca Fuzz, Danelectro Coolcat Tremelo.
Pedals I couldn’t power from the SKB-55:
Ibanez TK-999 and EHX #1 Echo. In both cases the current draw is the culprit. The TK-999 is a valve based Distortion and requires a high current. The #1 Echo is just a weird little fellow regarding power.
The main feature on this board for me is the PWR supply. Dead quite!!!! and plenty of possible configurations for polarity, plugs, currents and voltages. Some of the power outlets can even be voltage adjusted from 4 to 12 volts.
