I have a small clone which seems to crackle and fuzz slightly. I took a look and the circuit board and it looks fine. What’s wrong guys?

It sounds like a headroom problem. It could be patch cables, could be another pedal. Lowering your pickups on your guitar might help as well.

Do you have any Danelectro pedals in your chain perhaps? Those guys are notorious for lowering headroom.

No, I have a boss ME-50 and DS-1 but even on its own, it fuzzes

I have a HS guitar, 1 single 1 humbucker and it fuzzes on either pickup

hmmm must be something wrong with the pedal

I’d recommend contacting info@ehx.com about getting it repaired. Probably has a trim pot that is out of alignment.

I think there is only one trimpot and I could do that myself

I had sort of the same problem, try changing the battery.

A lot of trimpots in pedals aren’t for user adjustment and may require an oscilloscope or other tools. I wouldn’t mess with it without knowing what it does.

Adjusting the trim pot doesn’t increase head room, it adjusts the depth of the chorus and it goes from no chorus to deep chorus in just a couple of mm so you shouldn’t touch it.
Have you checked the battery? a flat battery will make it distort.
