you can put it where you like, just remember whatever is before it will ‘freeze’ so using it in different places will enable you to create different effects.

so for example

freeze into phaser… you will be able to freeze the sound then add phase shifting to the frozen sound. Phaser into Freeze will freeze the phaser at a specific point in it’s cycle.

So it really depends on what kind of effects you want to create I guess.
