Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Flanger Hoax – True Bypass? It is causing noise in my chain.
Hi All –
I have a new Flanger Hoax. I had it in my signal chain and was having noise issues. The pedal is producing noise even when disengaged in the effect output.
Do I have a defective unit? It is supposed to be true bypass.

Rob sounds like a ground loop.
What power supply are you using?
Hi – Thank you for the reply.
I am using what should be the correct power supply, I think –
input: 120V AC60Hz 0.2A
Output: 18V DC 500mA
When the pedal is disengaged, you can still hear the sweeping / swooping of the flange. It’s definitely the pedal causing the sound.
If it is an EHX supply and not a daisy chain supply then something is weird.
Please contact service and see what they say.
