I’m buying tomorrow!!! We don’t have Catholic Christmas in Russia, so I’m getting for New Year, but anyway. Thanks for the responses, and I’ll try and maybe do a demo…

I programmed synthesis for virtually every keyboard company, as am independent programmer, from the early 80’s until the early 2000’s. The approach that you have to take with the Flanger Hoax is very similar. Not is synthesis but in how relevant paramiters interact to create the summed sound. It is definitely not a box that you open and then run with it. You have to invest time and you definitely have to write each program down because a minor error in setup can take you to a whole new planet OR another great sound. You invest some time and you will be rewarded big time. You just need to learn the interaction. I will try to find some of my old program sheets and put them up but give me a little time because my studio has changed. I use it for one shot sound design in film noow. I tend to never save sounds once I am certain I will not need it any further.
What a creative tool for anyone interested in unique, musical and colorful modulations. My sonic favorite here and I love almost all of our designs. The sonic potential never gets old and that means a lot when you do not want to follow the same old crowd.

Yeah, I see where you’re coming from. It’s definitely a pedal that needs some time investment. And that’s why I got it. I wanted one pedal I could go to for complete madness. I’d definitely appreciate any settings you could share.

The Flanger Hoax gets cycled around in my favorite pedal spot again and again. No other modulation unit I’ve ever used can accomplish the same sounds. I love it so much that I have 2 of them.
January 6, 2009 at 2:36 am #90157BlueSteelParticipantAfter having this pedal for almost two weeks, it is now my favorite pedal. it makes the coolest sounds.
The only bad part about it is the volume loss. but i think i can solve that with an lpb-1. other than that its an amazing pedal.
January 23, 2009 at 1:49 am #91462BlueSteelParticipantThis sounds like a stupid question, but is there a way that i could use two outputs at the same time?
It said that you could do it in the instructions thing that came with it, so do i use like some sort of like split cable or something?

Oh, ok thanks.
February 16, 2009 at 2:15 am #93346BlueSteelParticipantAm i supposed to get a sort of static-like sound sometimes when i use it without distortion?

Try turning the volume down on your guitar and see if the static stops. I found that both the Flanger Hoax and the Worm will clip when the input gain is too high. I remedy this by placing them after my Blackfinger compressor. Problem solved.
February 16, 2009 at 5:59 am #93351julianModeratorYou could always lower your pickups too. Some people putt their humbuckers way closer to their strings than necessary.
February 16, 2009 at 1:21 pm #93368BlueSteelParticipantThanks, I’ll try this out in a little while and see what happens.
February 21, 2009 at 2:38 pm #93763BlueSteelParticipantyup, it doesnt do it anymore with the volume turned down, thanks.
