I think Lollars kick the most butt out of any of them, but I was just wondering what you guys think?
DiMarzio humbuckers and SD single coils.
P-90’s and the stock set on the vintage ’52 tele.
P-90’s FTW!!!!
…..um, chrome covered ones.
I love the Seymour Duncan stack on my Fender Bullet, and the TV Jones Classics on my Gretsch.
Hey! Another Fender Bullet owner! Do you have one of the original Tele-ish shaped ones? Here’s mine:
I bought it off a friend who quit playing guitar a few months back for $100.
Anyways, back on topic, I like the TVJones Powertrons and GFS Hendrix Reverse Staggers.
whatever comes with the guitar….
I’m more drawn to p-90s and single coils though.

Hey there! Nice Bullet, and the same color as mine; but I’ve got a USA ’83 S-3. Yours is an earlier USA model, probably ’81ish.
Oh cool, your’s actually has a legit bridge. I’m not a fan of the metal guard/bridge combo on mine. Works though.
I’ll just use whatever the guitar has stock
Aw, really? I’m surprised so many people use stock… not that there’s anything wrong with stock.
If you have doubts about a guitar, but really want to like it, I recommend switching the pickups out for Lollars. I almost sold my FrankenStrat, but then I switched out the middle and bridge for Lollar Blackfaces (the neck was already really freakin’ sweet), and now I wouldn’t dream of selling it.
Might get a new neck for it though. Either a really fat neck with a maple fretboard (current is rosewood), or perhaps a baritone conversion neck. Anyone here play a bari?
I use stock pickups, but i’ve been wanting to change my gretsch’s pickups to tv jones’.
Rio Grande pickups.
