I hope you can help me. I purchased both a B9 pedal and a C9 pedal brand
new from a USA seller on ebay. There seems to me to be excessive distortion
at the sound of attack and also noticeable with extended notes. That is:
even with the click turned off (which I do like), there still sounds to be a
percussive attack in the tone. For comparison, it is the same with both
pedals. I have seen lots of demos on Youtube and the players in the videos
do not have this sound. If you dead-pluck a string you get a distorted
sound.
I have tried different leads and different guitars, Gibson and Fender. It
sounds the same in a Pod HD as with the AC15 or Twin Reverb amps. My gear
is all modern and properly functioning.
I am in Australia. The boxes came with 120V transformers, 60hz, output to
9.6V, 200ma. I never used them. In Australia we have 240V. I use a 240V
transformer (50hz) with output 9.6V, 200ma.
* Does the product differ for USA consumption, perhaps due to AC supply
differences, than that exported to Australia or is it identical except for a
different transformer required? *
What adjustments can you advise?
Regards,
Gavin Cahill
