i use a 73 sunn model t loaded with jj kt88’s and a 12 at7 in my phase inverter spot to give me more headroom and cut some of the natural muddiness from the amp itself with the english muff’n into a roland space echo 150. i previously used the russian muff for that muff sound with the clarity and bite that the russian muff allowed me to have. my problem with the russian muff was it just didn’t give me the sound i knew i could get. the english muff’n was literally the perfect investment for me. it gives me that russian muff sound plus about a million different degrees that i can use. honestly this is without bias the best distortion/fuzz effect i’ve bought in 13 years of playing guitar.
