Has anyone tried this combo? I’ll soon have both of these in my possession and I’m pretty excited. I used to have NYC muff that broke, and I later on a tone wicker muff to replace it. Devi Ever fuzz is great and all but I use them for non-muff and gated tones. You can’t beat a real big muff’s sustain.
Also, I’m replacing my zvex box of rock with the English muff’n, does the muff’n have enough volume to saturate a tube amp with the gain knob rolled back?
I’ll hopefully have a demo video up once I get them in my apartment. :thumb:
I use something similar: Russian Black Big Muff + LPB-2ube. Very beatiful combination. Muffs improve a lot in tone and sustain combined with tube pedals :rawk: .
I tried an Hyperion Devi Ever once, too much fuzz for me (and that in my case has to be A LOT of fuzz)…
You pump the LPB into the Muff or after it?
If you want saturation you should have gotten the Hot Tubes. The Muff’n is cool though but mine is kind of noisy.
Muff into LPB-2ube –> other effects.
Cheers!
I’ll be sure to keep that in mind if the english muff’n doesn’t work out. Thanks for the replies. =]
Hi, I have both NYC Big Muff and Muff’n and I put them together for a killer sound for solos. I put the Big Muff first and then the Muff’n, I tried the opposite but it’s too noisy. I have a kind of boosted fuzz tone, a hard to control sound which you can tame with your wah. You must try that
I now have both of these and it’s orgasmic. I turned on the English Muff’n and the big Muff at the same time….
I have never had a bigger grin on my face. Excellent sound!
