March 6, 2009 at 12:06 pm #94220Fender&EHX4everModeratorCool. I wonder what the bpm range is? It might be cool to use it to trigger your space drum also.
March 6, 2009 at 4:27 pm #94224DiscoFreqParticipantI just tested it:
bpm range: 20 bpm (3 seconds between each click) to almost audio frequency
sounds:
nice electronic bass drum (tone switch to the left) or click with hard attackMarch 6, 2009 at 5:43 pm #94229electro-melxModeratorhey that’s cool…..something else I’ve never seen before!

July 2, 2009 at 7:33 pm #98782TheCapitalJMemberBeing a Drumer as well as a Guitarist. I feel that I don’t need one.
July 3, 2009 at 12:49 am #98801ChumleyParticipantWell, that explains the user name, Joey…
July 3, 2009 at 5:53 am #98816DiscoFreqParticipantI just received 2 big folders with EHX schematics and alignment manuals, the Metronome is in it as well
July 7, 2010 at 7:04 am #110042WatsonWoodMemberPractical little metronome, never saw one before either. Yes, another re-issue candidate, it would fit nicely into the Nano format.
..and DiscoFreq, I’ve been searching for some alignment prints for my vintage EHX pedals. How did you get yours?July 7, 2010 at 8:09 am #110043DiscoFreqParticipantSomeone sent me a big binder with schematics and other documentation, I scanned it and sent it back

In my own experience over the last thirty-seven years of using a load of EHX pedals, each time one came back from a techie I would have to tweak it by ear. This sometimes resulted in several hours bent over the trim pots on the circuit board before reaching a satisfactory result, especially with my first three Memory Man delays from the 70s and early 80s. I often wondered if there were “true” alignments to follow giving more precise results, for example a pleasing sound balance between trim, bias and depth, but I never came across any either in England, France or Germany….and, yes, I have always been fascinated by the wilder aspects of the great EHX pedal family.
July 7, 2010 at 11:58 am #110049DiscoFreqParticipantThe binder came from a collector in Germany
I want to add more documentation to the site, but I’m still too busy with other things (adding new brands & pedals, descriptions,…).
April 27, 2020 at 9:54 pm #126026Fender&EHX4everModeratorAnyone know what IC the metronome uses?
I have a malfunctioning unit, and I’m thinking it has the wrong IC installed.April 29, 2020 at 12:07 am #126032ScruffieMemberHow is it malfunctioning? I wouldn’t expect it to work at all with an incorrect IC.
If you post some photos it should be possible to work out what chip it is (or should be) though.
