Bill,
I have a couple of questions for you. Does using the xlr adapters cut the gain in the signal flow? For example, if I put the voice box in-line on my pedal board using the xlr adapters, is my normal signal level going to drop? And, I’m curious, does this introduce any hum or problems? One more thing. Forgive my ignorance: I’ve been looking for the adapters like in the picture above. I have found them. One is specified as balanced and the other does not say. Does balanced or unbalanced matter or do I just simply buy them and hook up?Thanks!

I set up my effect chains as I record so I can not answer for sure on what the 256 does to a bypassed signal chain.
I will find out.
If there is a problem you could always use a passive loop selector and switch that chain in and out of the signal path.
as for the plugs it should not matter as long as they are 1/4 inch to XLR connectors (Male and female).Quote:Bill,

If the connectors you are speaking of dont’t state balanced, then it’s a good chance they are not. However, regular 1/4 patch cables (instrument cable) are unbalanced (2 conductor) so I shouldn’t matter in your case. You may have seen the balanced version of a 1/4 cable with an extra ring. These are usually called TRS cables, which stands for Tip, Ring, Sleeve.
Hope that helps.

Would the POG2 work like the Micro Pog? Can I turn off the filter on the POG2? (that seems to be the main difference)
Does anyone has tried the “String Synth” sound with the POG2? My main problem is that I am still new to the Low Pass Filter in the POG2 and I cant set It right.

Like a guitarist with a harmonica I would like to play the guitar and tin whistle, however I was not blessed with four hands. So my thought is to hum the tune to get the whistle effect and back myself up on the guitar.

for the hog2 using a few simple analog effects? I I’m in the process of building a RJM controlled pedalboard.
It will have a midi controlled Flashback X4, midi controlled modulation unit, a two knob fuzz, and a 3 knob O.D..
With a midi controller and a expression pedal all wired up right it should be a powerful unit. I would be very appreciate
of any guidance you could give. Thank you, Stinky.February 26, 2013 at 4:55 pm #118790bill ruppertParticipantYou can write me through the Effectology youtube pages.
