Hello All,
I’m looking for some advice with my 95000 looper and I’m a complete MIDI noob.
My device is suffering from a tempo issue that doesn’t allow it to track perfectly with other sources, ie it drifts faster or slower than my computer even though the BPMs of both devices are synced and QUANTIZE is on.
I was told by EHX that this could only be fixed through a new firmware update which could take several months to finish… In the meantime they suggested I buy a MIDI syncing device, which I have done, to use this device to its full capabilities.
I’m struggling to get this device to perform something as simple as syncing tempos with Logic. I don’t need it to sync its “stop”, “start”, “record” etc… All I need to to do is hold the same tempo. Something it should be able to do without MIDI.
My MIDI cord seems to be transmitting data from my computer (its light is blinking when logic is playing) but the tempo light never corresponds to Logics tempo. ie Logic is at 20 BPMS but my device is clearly speeding way faster than that. I’ve tried it in all of the different EXT CLOCK modes. Additionally, there seems to be one extra that is not in the manual. Page 18. and 32. states that EXT. CLOCK can be set to “IN”, “XT” or “BX” but I also have “CX” available as well. I’ve look for an explanation of this function but can’t seem to find it. I’ve kind of exhausted my knowledge and of MIDI as well as what the manual has to offer.
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me.
