I have a 70’s-80’s era Deluxe that I really LOVE. I modded it so that it uses a standard 12V-18v power supply instead of the original 120vac.

However, it takes up a lot of real estate. Also, my other pedals use 9VDC Boss-type adapter. So I was thinking about purchasing the newer Stereo model.

Ive watched the demos, and they both sound great, but does anyone have some real, hands-on experience with the Deluxe vs the SEM regarding the sound?

I know what the different features are, I mostly just want to know if I can get that same super-lush, swirly flange sound from the new 9V that I can with my original one.

Does the newer one really lack anything that the deluxe has?
