Hello, can anybody help me, is there so much different between the Stereo Electric Mistress and the Deluxe Electric Mistress.
I just want to buy it to play some cover songs from Police.
Sunny greetings from Austria
Heinz
Hello Heinz,
The Deluxe Electric Mistress will be the better choice for getting Police chorus tones. Andy Summers used the original 18v Electric Mistress, but the Deluxe gets close enough. Both of those are analog. The Stereo Electric Mistress is digital.
Thank you for helping !
ok. i get that one is analog and the other digital. but could someone either put a DEM vs. SEM video on here that shows the difference or break it down for those of us that just aren’t getting/hearing it? i’m looking for the Gilmour sounds of dark side – the wall. i know which one of these he used, but am not willing to spend $400+ for the original.
can the new one do what the old one did? if so, how?
thanks
tim
They both sound nearly identical. The original one prob doesnt have as much high end. Also, if you modify(increase) the power supply voltage and/or tweak the trimpots you can get subtle variations in tone. Just mark the trimpots before you tweak :0)
Don’t know, but you can open the pedal and look at it^^
In the DEM I have there were something like 4 if I remember correctly..
