hi all,
new to forum, but long time EHX product user. just pre-ordered the 1440 looper with the intention of using it with an elektron model sampes sequencer. The model samples has an 1/8″ trs output for midi and as I understand it the 1440 will use the FC 1/4 TRS for midi. Maybe this is a bonehead question, but would I need any sort of special cable or would a regular old 1/4-1/8′ trs cable work to sync these two boxes? Also is there any online documentation (manual) yes for the 1440?
thanks!
Hey, not an EHX employee (just a volunteer moderator) so I’m not entirely sure, but I’m also getting a 1440.
Usually when EH announces a pedal, there’s a product page with a PDF manual.

It appears the MIDI in jack is 5 pin, so I’d assume you’d just need to have a 1/8″ TRS to 5 pin DIN MIDI cable. I’ve played around with some synths that have the TRS and usually what I’ve seen on them is you’ll have a little TRS to female MIDI that you can then plug a longer MIDI into.
