Hi all, and well met.
I just purchased a Boss BCB-60 Pedal Board mainly for pedal/cable management and to NOT HAVE TO BUY BATTERIES EVER AGAIN! However, I found that the power cables do not fit the EHX 9V inputs which was very dissapointing (same problem with my Ibanez TS-808). The ends fit any Boss pedal and fit my DOD pedal as well.
Does anybody know if there is an adapter available to make this fit? I’m desperate, please help!

January 3, 2009 at 3:47 pm #90040nightravenMemberi’m annoyed about EHX’s adaptor inputs too, and surprised that your Ibanez has them, i have a different model tubescreamer but the boss adaptors work for that one.
January 3, 2009 at 3:55 pm #90041electro-melxModeratoryou mean one like this?
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/1SpotC35/
It’s only dissapointing that everyone seems to consider the Boss type as standard now (especially power supply manufacturers) many companies have used the 1/8th as ‘standard’ before, EHX, Proco, Dod (pre-digitech), MXR (pre-dunlop)
anyway, that a whole other arguement…..

Tnanks for the link, looks promising.
I don’t necessarily consider Boss type as standard, it’s just that’s obviously what the pedal board has and it would have been nice if they all fit! I have an old D.O.D pedal I pulled out which also accepted the Boss jack, so I guess I was thinking “argh, why can’t the others fit as well?!!”.
Anyway, thanks again, i’ll let you know how it works out.

One more bit of confusion – do you think I just need the 3.5 inch adapter, or do I actually need the 1-spot AC adaptor as well? My original thought was just a small adapter where one end would accept the boss BCB-60 power input and the other end would plug into my EHX pedals. Maybe that’s what this is, I can’t tell by the pictures!
If I need the 1-spot power supply, then I suppose that would replace the existing supply powering up my pedal board?
January 4, 2009 at 5:43 pm #90067electro-melxModeratorYeah, that’s what that is, an adaptor to change a boss type end to a 1/8 type, you should be fine using that with your exsisting power supply.

January 30, 2009 at 7:20 am #92220finalplanetMemberHello,
I just picked up the BCB-60 Pedal Board as well and tried to use my micro synth with it. The adapter fits fine, but when I click the micro synth on, the light comes on, but no sound. The pedal board powers up my mxr carbon copy and boss ph-3 fine, but the micro synth gets nothing. If anyone knows of a fix or just a definitive “that’s not gonna work,” I’d appreciate it.
Also, if the boss pedal board is just a no go- any suggestions for a good pedal board that will do the trick?
Thanks.
January 30, 2009 at 8:07 am #92221julianModeratorI can’t recommend the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+ enough. . . not a pedal board, but a very flexible power supply that you can mount under a pedal board that takes up much less space than a power strip, and can power a lot of different pedals. And for the ones it can’t power, there’s an optional jack.
I’m going to guess that the Microsynth needs it’s own isolated 9v source and that’s why it’s working. The Pedal Power has 8 of them, including two that have extra current for pedals that require more.

I was originally looking for a whole self-contained unit- case, power supply & cords- but this looks like it may be a good option. I guess I could just buy a case and a more functional power source like this one separately and make my own little board. I’m going to check this out when I go to return the bcb-60.
The other one I was considering was the SKB PS-45 because it has both the daisy chain power supply and spots to plug in a separate 9v. At 23 lbs just for the case though, it seems like more of a monster then I may need.
Thanks for the help.
