i didnt quite know where to post this, so all you EHX-wizards need to tell me where i can find that sweet pitch-bending modulation that comes in the Memory Toy/Boy/Man/etc series in a stand-alone pedal… sounds a bit like a chorus but i cant quite put my finger on it.. any help would be greatly appreciated
cheers
Sifis
Are you asking for a pitch vibrato pedal?
The Mem Boy/Man series behaves much like an old tape delay… that is, a pitch vibrato is applied to only the delayed signal.
The chorus effect works the same way, except the delayed signal is typically 50ms or less.
So, if you put a chorus pedal in front of a delay pedal, you are chorusing both the direct signal and the delayed signal from the delay, which has a very different sound to it than the Mem Boy/Man series.
If you want a pitch vibrato pedal instead of a chorus pedal, the Worm’s vibrato is quite nice.
much obliged sir you have been most helpful and very quick! i guess the pitch-vibrato is what i m looking for (based on the video-reviews on the ehx site) so now i am actually “waiting for the Worm(s)”
cheers!
