I play guitar and bass and use the little big muff for both …. my question is, how can I do it? there are some precautions that I should take? … can I use the volume as a blend ?…. what are the bedst materials should i choose to use?…. have you some recomendation???…etc etc etc
Save yourself some trouble and buy/build a blend pedal.

why??? is to complicated??
how about the old new BM USA…???
October 2, 2010 at 4:19 pm #111762Mr.GrimMembernot that its complicated, it just dont make much sense. just make a blend pedal in its own box, then you can move it around and use it in other places if you wanted to and you dont need to ruin your BM!

I play a lot on different projects, and only bring with me my bass, a tuner and a fuzz …. I need not carry much weight and do not wish more pedals, so I’d like to keep it that way …..

July 27, 2011 at 4:12 pm #103933BenyodaParticipantI have just added the tone bypass mod on my BMP (V9 Reissue) and I was very surprised when I got volume loss instead of the famous 6+dB when bypassing the tone knob.. Please help! 😥
I’v used an SPDT with four pins, much like this one:Linky
The tutorial I followed was: Big Muff Tone Bypass
December 25, 2011 at 3:42 am #116598derekbMember^ that video is not a correct method for tone bypass
my question is – is this diagram accurate for using a DPDT to perform the emitter mod, I hadn’t really seen one drawn up and threw it together rather quickly, from my understanding of DPDT switches I believe this to be correct, one position will pass the cut trace to the resistor, the other will jump over the resistor, but just wanted some verification.
edit: in addition are R12 and R16 the correct resistors on a V9 big muff pi
March 29, 2014 at 10:55 pm #119814muleofdoomMemberSo I’ve been looking at the new EHX RTG and I’m really interested in getting one.
The only downside is I’ve heard that they are incredibly noisy and don’t have any internal controls for adjusting the volume.
Any of you guys out there know of any ways of modding it to incorporate a volume knob? Internal or external.
I’m very new to all this so be gentle.
April 4, 2014 at 2:05 pm #119845BasshogParticipantAnyone. Tried to mod a Micro POG for expression pedal.. I would like to bring the octave up pot in and out on the fly. I am new to this forum, so please let me know if this not the proper place to ask this. Thanks
April 22, 2014 at 2:58 pm #119903toddwpMemberI’m having an issue with the small stone univibe mod (done on my small stone v4). The “magic caps” are on switches, so the capacitor for each phase can be either stock, modded, or off entirely (which I think takes that phase out of the equation). Any combination of 3 or 4 magic caps sound great, so I haven’t really worried about anything else but I’d like to get the whole thing functioning right.
Here’s the problem: since I’ve done the mod, the “all stock” setting no longer sounds right. Instead of a full, bright sweep with sparkly highs and full lows, the highs are tinny and the lows just drop out. Also, the color switch (I replaced the stock switch with a DPDT toggle) no longer works. (When set to “color” the whole signal chain drops out).
Any ideas of what I’ve done here? I can post photos/video if you think it will assist.

March 6, 2016 at 9:14 am #121326ticzamMemberFried Graphic Fuzz. I let someone borrow my pedal and they plugged in the wrong power chord. Does anyone know where I can find this fried circuit?

October 25, 2016 at 1:19 pm #122173eveldaveMemberIs there an expression pedal mod for feedback on the Tone Tattoo or a mod described elsewhere I could retool for this pedal?
