Hello. I have a problem with my newly bought EHX Micro Q-tron pedal. I play saxophone and i got myself this sweet pedal. I don’t know alot about effects pedal, but i wanted to start out so i bought the Q-tron and a HOF mini reverb pedal for a start. When i play the reverb works fine but when i try to use the Q-tron i come across that the pedal dosen’t apply the effect. I suspect it that the signal output from the Q-tron might be too low and that I therefore might need a pre-amp Like a ART Tube MP to boost the signal before it reaches my amplifier?
My setup is this:
Microphone: Shure SM57
<=>
Pedals: Q-tron – HOF mini
<=>
Amp: Behringer Ultratone KT-108
Again i’m not very experienced with effects pedals and i don’t know if I need to amplify the signal from the Q-tron or what… Help is much apreciated. Thx.
Here’s my rig, still a work in progress. I leave the reverb on all the time, at least a little. When you turn off the bypass loop, the sound goes right to the looper, delay, and reverb. when the loop is on, the Q-tron and compressor come into the chain. Just leave them switched on all the time so when you open the loop it will kick in immediately, no extra stomping.

Does the Q-tron work now??
Yes, the preamp was the essential part to getting he qtron effect to work
