Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › EHX Lester G Volume Reduction when active
I received a brand new EHX Lester G pedal as a Christmas present this year. I am starting to experiment with my new pedal and playing with all the setting to see which sounds I like the best. In any case the only issue that I have found is that when I set all the controls to say 12:00, the pedal has a much lower volume when it is engaged than when it is in bypass mode. To offset the volume reduction, I have has to set the volume knob to about 3:30 when I engage the pedal. All the effects seem to be working just fine. This is the only issue. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this OK? I can just set the volume to 3:30 and leave it there? Just thought I would ask. I have a lot of pedals and I can’t think of one where I have to set the volume to 3:30 so that it is the same level as when it it bypassed.
Additional info – I have the Lester G as the 1st pedal in my pedal chain and when I use it, the only other pedal I leave on is my delay pedal, which goes straight to the amp
Thanks for any input you can provide.
Well there is a compressor and a distortion circuit so the volume will change where unity is a depending where the other knobs and switches are set.
Its fine to have the volume at any position.
