Hello.
I have a hum debugger pedal that I am running my custom tele through for home recording. I have my guitar running into an m-audio interface which runs to my Mac which is running amp simulation software. All has been working fine until recently. Took a week off from recording, and went to start up again…and when I engage the pedal, instead of canceling hum..it cuts out all sound. Almost like its got a dead battery..which it can’t have since it only uses ac power…the light lights up when the pedal is engaged, but I can’t get any sound. I have noticed however that sometimes after I engage the pedal the light will blink…I am not sure if this could be a faulty power supply issue or what..have tried different cables and all of the basic stuff..I’m lost. I hope the pedal hasn’t crapped out on me. Have only had it a few months.
Please let me know if you can help!
Thanks!!
Hey,
I am having the exact same problem. I have a hunch to think its a faulty switch but I am not sure, and something is definitely funky with the ground connection because touching it alone results in a large buzz. These switches can sometimes be the first thing to go on a pedal like this. I will try and switch it out and we will see how that goes, just have to find those switches i ordered off ebay.
Good luck, let me know if you get to the bottom of it.
Any resolution on this – just bought a Hum Debugger and having the same issue – total loss of power signal when I push the button???
