Hi all, I recently purchased a Hot Tubes pedal (twin tube version) from the US, and as i live in Australia the regular US psu does not work over here. The adaptor is not the regular 1/8″, it has 2 oddly sized prongs. Does anyone know where i can get an AU or EU Power Supply?
Thanks, Blake.
well the adapter that is provided is for american use. Our service voltage is 110 volts AC. the quickest solution is to buy a step-down transformer from an electronics store. It will provide an american style outlet @ 110 volts. something like this…
you could also take the power supply to an electronics store, and they should be able to match you with an australian equivalent.
the other option is to buy an official UK power supply (which is the same voltage)
then get a UK power board like this to plug it in to…
…and just change the plug for a AUS one, you’d then have 3 spare sockets if you need to plug anything else in (with the same situation) and an extention cord.
you could of course do the same with a EU version too.
If you need to help finding the cheapest UK version give me a shout.
Mike will have one and sell you one, a UK adapter that is which work fine here in OZ. I use them on all my 24V pedals.
