I have just been trying to use my newly purchased EHX Expression Pedal with my Fender Mustang GT-100 amp without success.
I have spent 40 years of guitar playing without ever feeling the need for an expression pedal and now I have one which I bought with my Grand Canyon, I’m wondering what else I can use it with but having little success. I have tried all permutations on the pedal and scanned through the amps presets as well as fiddling about with the amp’s EXP-1 settings.
Is there a way of configuring the EHX Expression Pedal so that it works in place of the EXP-1?
Sorry not sure what the specs are for the Fender or what the requirements are?
You may drop them a mote and ask what is up.
Are you using the stereo cable with the expression pedal?
Does the Expression pedal work with the Canyon?
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I’m using the stereo TRS cable which works with Grand Canyon.
It’s not a big deal if it won’t work with the GT-100, I just kind of thought that there might be a standard for expression pedals and I was just trying it out – I thought I might be able to use it as a wah pedal. I just realised from an image search that the EXP-1 is mono TS so it is probably not compatible.
I also have a Ravish Sitar but I haven’t given much thought to using it with that yet.
Thats is odd they would use a mono exp cable.
You should write Fender and ask them whats up with that.
I can’t say I have the specific technical knowledge to understand how each functions but the whole pedal bus on the GT-100 is on a mono TS jack which includes the MGT-4 (four switch with 3 character LED display) foot switch I have – so I suppose that I should assume that it is digital and that the EHX Expression Pedal is not.
I looked and it is a system only used by Fender…
Sorry it is not a stock Exp jack.
