EHX–why are you not making Eurorack format synthesizer modules? You’re already in the business of making oscillators, filters, LFOs, sequencers, ring modulators, delays, etc. It would be amazing to have all of those things accessible in the form of Eurorack modules. I love EHX pedals and own several, but the elegance of putting all of my processors and sound generators in a compact rack cannot be beaten. Malekko does it–why not EHX?
I know it’d be a big change–but a good one.
Thumbs up ! Some DIYers did modules based on the Memory Boy, which is a great idea.
That’s one of them I’d really jump after, too–despite the fact I’m much more of a synthesizer player than a guitarist, I own a Memory Boy and would never give it up. I would literally buy that module in an instant.
That, a Ring Thing, CV controllable Flanger Hoax, Riddle, etc…I’d be all over it.
And I was worried that no one would back me up, haha.
To be honest, I don’t use modular synth, but the general idea of EHX modules is IMO worthwhile These guys are ready to shell out a bunch for their setup, so why not give them a chance ? I bet they’d be all over some rather cheap effects modules. Many EHX designs such as the Memory Boy don’t require lots of mods to implement CV, I guess it would be an easy deal. Probably not on EHX’s map, though
Imagining a Eurorack series where almost every parameter was CV controlled:
Super Replay / 16 Second Digital Delay module
LPB2 / BlackFinger External Audio Input module
Wiggler / Worm module
Tube Zipper module
TubEQ Filter module
Enigma / Riddle / Q-Tron module
Attack Decay / Super Ego module
MicroSynth / Mini Synth module
… just getting started
