    Hi there,

    When I look at the text files of the exported loops, they are all different to the set BPM. For example, my project is 140bpm, yet the exported files are coming out at 139.28xx bpm. This varies with every project.

    This happens when synched via MIDI clock to an ERM Multi-clock (which is a rock solid clock output), but also with the looper’s internal clock.

    This means I can’t accurately use them in my DAW, as time-stretching messes up the smoothness of the loop. Any suggestions?

    Hi, I had a similar problem, the BPM from my DAW and the BPM from the 9500 would display the same value but would be slightly different by .2 or .3 BPM which is enough to be unpleasant to listen. My aim was to record loops in the 9500 coming from the DAW to make it fit perfectly but the end of the loop was always messy due to the slight difference. I managed to do it by adjusting the BPM within my DAW to make it fit the BPM of the 9500 (just like a vinyl DJ would do to adjust the BPM by ear).

    Hi, please could I get some help with same issue. DAWs only offer .0000 for BPM, but BPM data from 95000 is .00000

    Could you give us a couple of examples of the BPM readings you are receiving from the 95000?

    What is the source for the 95000’s tempo? Is it external MIDI clock, internal slider, or tap tempo?

    Some examples:

    Record:
    Tempo= 130.01179 bpm (59 to 240)
    QUANTISE= On (Off or On)
    STEREO= Off (Off or On)
    Last Play:
    TEMPO POT= 567 (0 to 1023 or blank)
    OCTAVE= Off (Off or On)
    REVERSE= Off (Off or On)
    BEATS= 4 (1 to 8 or blank)
    TAP TEMPO= 0.00000 bpm (59 to 240)
    TAP ADJUST= 0.00000000 (0.5 to 2.0 or blank)

    —-

    TEMPO POT= 553 (0 to 1023 or blank)

    TEMPO POT= 620 (0 to 1023 or blank)
    OCTAVE= Off (Off or On)
    REVERSE= Off (Off or On)
    BEATS= 4 (1 to 8 or blank)
    TAP TEMPO= 97.16510 bpm (59 to 240)
    TAP ADJUST= 1.04449462 (0.5 to 2.0 or blank)

    I’m still new to using it but I set the final tempo using the internal slider, however I may have tapped some tempos prior to that and then adjusted (which I think the tap adjust value indicates?). Was not using an external MIDI clock.

    Thanks for your prompt reply. Love the looper regardless – but figuring out the above would be incredibly convenient.

    Ultimately, we’ll have to come up with a solution to this problem with the five digit decimal places that the 95000 assigns to BPMs created with its internal clock.

    Looking at the first loop example, where the 95000 assigns a BPM of 130.01179, does setting your DAW to 130.0118 BPM work?

    Ok got you. The initial post of this thread mentions that using an external clock produces the same result, so I presume that isn’t a work-around?

    Rounding up/down the BPM of the DAW to the closest decimal does come close but when zooming in on the end of the audio clip I can see that it does not align with the line in DAW arrangement window indicating the end of bar.

    What about having the DAW map the tempo from the length of the audio file?

    So I use Ableton mainly and am not entirely sure how I would do this. Will look into it. But if you know how to do this either in Ableton or another DAW please do let me know

    I know it can be done in Logic Pro. Check out this link:

    I’m not too sure how to do this with Ableton but you could try setting Ableton’s tempo close to the 95000’s tempo value then enable the Warp feature in Ableton for the 95000’s audio file. Ableton should then fine tune the length of the 95000’s wav file to be perfectly in sync with Ableton.
