I am a long time fan of EHX loopers, the first pedal I ever bought was the 16 Second Digital Delay, then I had the 2880 for years. The 45000 is such a powerful pedal, but it just seems to be filled with bugs.
First off, there’s a feature that allows you to scroll by series of 10’s through the 100 loops — for instance if you press and hold the UP or DOWN on the footswitch, you go up/down 10 loops at a time. Very useful, however, it seems if you hold it but not quite long enough, or something, the numbers start blinking and go rapidly up to 99. You then have to go one loop down to 98, then you can scroll back to whatever loop you were trying to get to in the first place.
This is incredibly frustrating and stressful, as I use the 45000 exclusively for live use, and ruins the ability to seamlessly go through loops one after another. It can destroy a performance! What is the point of this feature/is it a bug? I’ve looked through the manual and can’t find anything on this.
Bug #2: The EHX 45000 seems to ruin SD cards. First off, it is incredibly finicky when reading SD cards, and the cards have to be inserted when the unit is off in order to be read by the machine. The SD slot is tight feeling, and the spring load action feels…sticky. I have a feeling it is scratching up my cards or something. Also, the cards after I use them in the 45000, cannot be read by a computer (I’m using a Mac). I feel like this is some formatting issue or something.
Help! This machine is very powerful and I want to use it but its just goddamn frustrating with these bugs!
