    Hey Guys, love the company, keep up the good work.

    I want to use an Alesis Percussion Pad as a midi controller for my 2880. First off,Is this possible?

    If so, how?

    Possible, maybe. “How” would really be the question. Drum pads, when hit, send a NOTE-ON message, however, the 2880 responds to CC messages. You’d need something to translate the note on messages to CC values and I’m not sure if there’s a product that does that. I’m sure if you brought a computer onstage there’d probably be a way to do it but why go hardware looper at all if you’re going to do that, yeah?

    Otherwise, maybe the people at midisolutions could recommend a converter box?

    Thanks for the quick reply, I will look deeper into those boxes, didnt see anything right off the bat.

    I want to use the 2880 to loop drums, I need a way of using sticks to do my button pressing for me. any push in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

    yeah either the midisolutions route or programming an arduino to work with your perc pad are the only ways I can think of to do this.
