i’m looking for a midi controller that i can control change messages so that i can send specific CC#’s to the 2880? any suggestion out there?
i read in the manual for example that you can control mute and unmute, mute all, etc.
actually is what i really want to be able to do with my 2880 is to be able to jump to the 1 (the beginning of the measure) at the push of a button or pad or any kind of midi trigger. does anyone know if it’s possible to do this with the 2880?
suggestions appreciated.

Behringer makes some cheap ones.
Then there is the MOOG-MP201 which is pretty small but uber powerful, and offers some other really nice applications for the avid pedal user.
thanks for the response. the MOOG-MP201 looks pretty interesting, but more than i need. i don’t really need it in a foot pedal form. i would really just like to some kind of touch pad. i was thinking more of a translator to open up more possibilities with the pedal.
i’m drummer not a guitarist.

Alesis has some Midi controller stuff here too:

The alesis ones only able you to do program change, and no continuous controller messages, while some of the Korg and Akai stuff lets you do both.
I think that the Korg Nano dudes are USB > Midi only. Unfortunately not Midi > Midi controllers….
hmmm you’re right. There’s gotta be a way to make it work with midi
Edit: I can’t find anything about doing that. Since you’ve can only edit the CC parameters with software I don’t think you can. That’s really kind of lame, but for 60 bucks, I guess you shouldn’t expect the moon.
man I really want one of those nanokontrols for using with ableton though.
