Does anyone know what effects were used on the Intro guitar part to the song Bette Davis Eyes? I have always liked that combination of effects, but have never figured out how to get something close to it.
Love that song. I always just assumed it was a keyboard synth. If not, maybe a Roland GR-300? Those were in vogue at the time.
I’ll have to listen again and see if I can take a stab at it. Definitely lots of chorus if I recall correctly.
I read awhile back in an article that a person who was familiar with the production of that song, said that what you might think was a chorus was in fact a flanger. I found that interesting, but it didn’t say how that classic flanger of that day might be different than those today and if it was more like a chorus than a flanger as we have them today.
