Update: Placed my order today…September 3, 2011 at 4:09 am #115572julianModeratorKotos by the way get their unique sound in that the bridge is closer to the middle of the string, and the unplayed portion of the string resonates relatively to the played portion. The long unplayed portion also allows for the string bends.

Also how well does the Ravish’s sympathetic sounds work with instruments other than guitar, like the low notes on a bass or something with richer harmonic content, like a coral sitar? Thanks!
September 11, 2011 at 2:31 pm #115992bill ruppertParticipantHi G
The pitch bend works just on the lead voice.
It works great with bass and will work fine with the coral as well.

First, thanks so much for your incredibly clear and inspiring presentation of the Ravish! I have performed live with the Ravish using several Vox amps so as to have a dedicated sound source for the drone. This worked out pretty well. My question is, when the Ravish is in Bypass Mode, is there still a signal out from the Sympathetic Output along with the Lead Output? The straight signal would then be routed to both my amp set ups. All the best, Robert.November 8, 2011 at 2:41 pm #116295Mr.GrimMemberok as soon as i had heard of this device i knew i needed it, it replaces my desire to purchase a number of worldly instruments to incorporate into my music, all in one compact unit!
and an awesome job on the vid as usual Bill, but i must ask because its driving me nuts now….what is that tune you start to get into at 2:42 mark?
November 8, 2011 at 6:19 pm #116296bill ruppertParticipantThanks Robert!
When the unit is in bypass the guitar in is routed out to both outputs.
In other words yes, in bypass both amps will get the straight guitar signal.

Wonderful stuff, as usual, just wondering about the settings for the ambiance at the beginning?
In the video you say that you use ‘A Stereo Memory Man delay and Cathedral reverb’ what settings please?
Thanks!
January 10, 2012 at 3:58 am #116737bill ruppertParticipantThanks!
The ambiance in the front is the Ravish in freeze drone mode.
I looped it in the Stereo Memory Man and added a second drone with different pitches.
It created a big poly chord. The delay and reverb I used is below.
Nothing special, just set them so it sounds good to you:Quote:Hi Bill!Wonderful stuff, as usual, just wondering about the settings for the ambiance at the beginning?
