Between 1963 to 1969 I live in Greenpoint Brooklyn, New York, so I like to hear about this pedal. I lived by the West side of the East River back through the 60s. I love EH products so I could see me getting one of these pedals. I’m a Califronia boy now! I love this place! I’m itching to go visit Brooklyn again in the future if God wills it. I look forward to it! I want to find more about this compression pedal. How does it rate to the some of the classic ones?
Jac here is more info on the ERD OD pedal:
Thanks to EHX Staff! I’ve heard two demos so far and, I’m very impressed! I have an Ibanez TS-808 and, I feel the ERD has a little more and, better sounding bass than the TS-808. I plan on getting one pretty soon! I’m pretty stoked about this pedal. Electro-Harmonix to me is the goods! It was the first brand of effects I ever got when I was a young man back in the 70s. All you nice people there, do keep up the good work always!
I’ve had the ERD for about three weeks now and it has become my “go-to” overdrive to boost my gain for solos. While at its’ core it’s a TS, it is a good bit warmer than the majority of Ibanez/Maxon TS’s. Not to worry, though, as it has plenty of room on the tone knob to get a good deal of treble.
It stacks nicely with other pedals,([em]with the exception of my MXR ’78 Custom Badass… which doesn’t really play well with any overdrive pedals[/em]). In fact, the only gripe I have with it is that I wish it had a bit more overall volume. Aside from that, it’s a damn fine addition to a board!
I just ordered one. This will be my fifth EH pedal I have now. This thing is going to rock!
It is a really fine pedal. I was just blown away with it. Just super smooth and brings that grin to your face. Thanks EH for building such a great pedal at an awesome price.
