Hello there,
I just bought a Double Muff, and in the instructions it says that in Single Muff mode, the Muff 2 knob does nothing.
Now-I-say-this-is-A-LIE! A LIE! It definitely affects the tone, I can’t be imagining it, unless it’s like some very effective placebo knob (we all need one of those…) Anyone else have an opinion on this?Cheers,
Louis

edit-while we are on the Double Muff topic, is there a way to replace the slider mode switch to a stomp switch? This would make the Double Muff so much more flexible in a live situation.

Yes, just the tone.
You could replace the switch with a footswitch pretty easily.

It seems to affect the tone slightly yes. I think only mids and highs. It’s subtle but noticeable, noticeable enough that I have actually found a position that I like, and keep it there.
You’re right, a stomp switch for the muff mode would make this pedal pretty perfect in my eyes. I have to admit, there’s something about this little pedal that I really love. Great sound, one thing which is annoying but also pretty cool is how much the sound changes depending on what type of amp you’re using.
Has anyone actually replaced the slider switch with a stomp switch? Would be cool to know how to do this, I know my effects, but know nothing about what makes them work or how to change things around inside…

is it just a matter of taking the wires off of the slider switch and soldering them to the new switch? Or will this make just Muff 1 and Muff 2 instead of one and two together, sorry, I am not proficient in electronics, though I want to learn.

You could wire it like muff 1 or muff 2, OR, muff 1 or muff 1+muff 2
