    Good morning EHX! Just returned home from a long run of shows, and found my HOG has arrived! I’ve been playing with it fer only a few hours, but already I’ve made enough presets to fill the HOGs preset contollor.

    In theory, it should be possible to use an A/B switch to connect 2 preset controllers to the HOG. Using the A/B switch to have one, or the other (not both!) preset contollor talk to the HOG at any given time.

    Has anyone tried this? I may be interested in picking up a second preset controller if this method works, as it would give me 12 presets!

    I am pretty sure you can’t do this because I think the HOG actually stores the presets. I could be entirely wrong though. From my experience, I guess it wouldn’t actually be too hard to have it so that the preset switch stores the presets, or so that it simply tells the HOG which to recall.

    If it did in fact store the presets, that would open up quite interesting possibilities. Though unfortunately I don’t think it does because I’m pretty sure you can use a 16 second delay or 2880 foot controller with the HOG.

    I was under the impression the presets were saved in the footswitch, rather then locally on the HOG. If this is in fact the case, then you are correct, my method will not work.

    Anyone from EHX wanna weigh in on this subject? I’d love to have 12 presets!

    bump. so what did ehx say? where are the presets actually saved? what a/b switch options are there?

    Sorry guys, I kinda forgot about this thread. The presets are in fact stored in the HOG, so no joy on the double preset idea. You can, however use one foot controller (HOG, 16 Sec Delay, or the 2880) with an A/B switch to operated two separate units. So one foot controller could store presets in the HOG, and also control the 2880/16 Sec. Just not at the same time, tho’.

    I don’t own the HOG yet, what does the input/output panel on the main unit, foot controller and exp pedal actually look like? Could somebody here let me know?

    Is anyone else here using the HOG in a setup with different a/b settings and fx loops? Would be so interesting to see!
