hey, guys
ok, so my question is simple… full sized and nano Doctor Q envelope filter – is there any difference?
(besides the obvious different enclosure…)
i was thinking about some envelope filter, i like the riddle very much, but i probably wouldn’t use it so much, so the money for the riddle is a little too much for me. and since i heard there is some internal pot in the Dr.Q, i’m willing to give it a second try (for the first time i didn’t have a very good sounding equipment and i didn’T know about the pot so it didn’t convince me to keep it)
so i’m trying to figure out which version i should get
thanks for your advice
(btw, my music – one project is let’s say a modern progressive rock, the second is some kind of post-rock… i don’t have a band, both are home-recording projects)
edit: ohh, sorry, bad forum… can please anyone move it to the right one?
I don’t think there is any difference between the nano or old version. I would suggest though to check out the Bassballs opposed to the Dr. Q, I liked it a lot more!
ok, thanks
the dr.q nano arrived today and i’m surprised – i think that it reacts better to the single pickups
i’m just a little bit struggling with the position in my effects chain… when it’s before distortion, it’s really noisy, but the sound is awesome. after distortion it seems dead quiet but the sound is not so good
and by the way, thanks to all of you good folks on this forums i didn’t know anythink about the pot inside – it really changes the sound alot!
