For me it would be Fender&EHX;&Ampeg;forever!!
June 20, 2009 at 3:10 am #98180InvaderCCMemberOf all the music gear out there i’m loyal to only two brands..I will always try EHX before any other brand ..I have 4 different EHX effects on a 9 piece effects board .And as soon as i can afford a Memory Man it will go up to five..Then of my 11 guitar five are Fenders …The two others that are made by Leo Fender(G&L)…So i would have to say that EHX and Fender work well together…

and….. a 60’s Gibson Melody Maker
June 20, 2009 at 8:39 pm #98200soonermattMemberI use 2 Fender basses, an 08 AmStd J and an 85 MIJ P bass lyte. As far as effects, though, the only EHX pedals I use atm are a microPOG (POG2 on the way :rawk:) and a Triangle Muff clone. That being said, there are a few other EHX pedals I want, namely the nano small stone and BMS. Should my Muff clone fritz, I’ll definitely pick up the bass muff.
June 20, 2009 at 10:15 pm #98202creepingfurParticipantI live Fender Free.
I used to play a Fender P-Bass, but swapped it out for an Epiphone Thunderbird because I like the ‘birds neck and tone better. Nothing sounds close to the pickups used on a Thunderbird.
On the guitar front, I’ve never really liked the neck or bridge feel of any of the Fenders I have played (and I have short fingers), thus I play a Gibson Flying V and a Ephiphone Casino and love them both.
I guess that makes me a Gibson guy, though I would love a Gretsch or a PRS.

July 16, 2009 at 9:34 pm #99532m0joMemberQuote:Well, I’m totally biased towards single coils, but I believe it is pretty much common sense that many pedals (mainly dirt) like them better. Most Fenders have single coils, most Gibsons have humbuckers, you do the math. That said, proud Tele and Strat slinger, 5F6A pusher and EHX stomper!
:thumb:I do need an SG and maybe a LP, though, but I’ll make them P-90’d.
I have a custombuilt ’60s relic strat in fiesta red! , I love it with individual pedals
But when you start mixing, for instance envelope filter + dirt .. it gets very messy very fast with singles.
With the hummies (Bare Knuckle Pickups) on my Ibanez S I can play with that combo and make it sound like.. something, but with singles it’s just *noise* .. So in that respect there are some advantages to humbuckers. But with every individual pedal, I’d choose the strat anytime.
I’m striving to put a BKP Sinner single coil in my strat in a few months, 23k ohm single!!! Muhahaha! It’ll go next to the original bridge pickup though, I’m not sacrificing my funk!

October 21, 2009 at 5:56 pm #102498Mr.GrimMemberwell i would agree that fenders sound great with EHX products. but i myself don’t currently own or use one, other than a custom built guitar that no one can recognize from a company that only made so many then disappeared.(its my favorite guitar and I’ve literally owned about 100 of them in the past)(i posted a topic on it, look up: “can anyone name this guitar”) all other guitars i use are custom made ones from myself. the closest thing to a fender ill have in a bout a week, my current project should be done and its a clone of a 70’s custom Tele deluxe with humbuckers. kinda metaled out. other than that all my made guitars have a LP like set up, even tho there not LP’s
reminds me….i realy need to take pics of the guitars ive made and post them, so people dont start to think i’m blowing smoke out my ass.

i play yamaha but it’s a “telecaster”… i also fell in love with the USA tele deluxe recently… and my next guitar could be a jazzmaster
i never found any gibson with so many MOJO as the fenders have
November 2, 2009 at 6:23 pm #103158ZenJengaMemberI am one of the Fender & EHX folk.
