Very cool . . .
. . . i wish someone in my city had the brains to build an all-valve amp – of any sort.
But i am cursed to live in a city where not one shop caries a single all-valve amp, except if you special order it !!!
Right now, i am looking into a ’68 Silver Face Bassman. They are not too expensive, and you can mod them into s Stoner Rock guitarists wet-dream !December 11, 2008 at 7:12 pm #88979julianModeratorget it then!
It may still have blackface circuitry at that point

Most Fenders have single coils, most Gibsons have humbuckers, you do the math. That said, proud Tele and Strat slinger, 5F6A pusher and EHX stomper!
:thumb:I do need an SG and maybe a LP, though, but I’ll make them P-90’d.
+1
Jazzmasters and EHX all the way for me.Bought an SG standard some years ago which i never play…Wish i had gone for the “Classic” or perhaps a LP Jr.December 20, 2008 at 7:59 am #89272Jules-RMMemberMy babies.
I do love the Strat/DMM combo, particularly with a touch of OD and a smidge of compression.

Is that a Bass VI or just a baritone?
December 20, 2008 at 5:28 pm #89300julianModeratorI think it is a Bass VI
the baritones don’t have the tremolo as far as I know

Yeah, it’s a Bass VI. It’s a MIJ version from the mid 90s.
December 20, 2008 at 6:23 pm #89303companymanParticipantIt seems to me that most of the EHX designs were made with lower output single coil guitars in mind . Humbuckers seem to cause overload and weird clipping in a lot of their pedals . Was there a preference in the EHX kitchen ?
December 21, 2008 at 6:21 am #89351kevinMemberI use a Schecter Tempest Custom, but I wouldn’t mind a 72 Deluxe Tele in shoreline gold and/or a Jazzmaster.
December 21, 2008 at 6:47 am #89354danieldangerParticipanti have one of the jaguar baritones, its my primary instrument in a city safe from sea. as well, im mostly a fender guy. a 60s mustang, a 70s mustang, a tele, and some beataround squiers. ive been on the hunt for an original 70s bass VI for a while.

And on the Bass VI, do yourself a favor and try and pick up a MIJ Bass VI instead. I don’t know about 70s Bass VI, but I tried a 1962 Bass VI and compared it to my MIJ – there was no contest, the MIJ was MUCH better, and at around $600-$800 on Ebay, it’s quite a steal. I got mine in 1996 (original owner).
