I’ve never owned a Fender amp (and neither have a lot of other people I know)….probably due to 2 reasons.
Affordable used/vintage ones don’t really exsist…they just aren’t that common here, which makes them expensive…and secondly the price of new ones is just stupid in the UK.
where as Marshall, Laney and even vintage Vox’s are far more common and there are used ones everywhere for good prices.
I’m guessing maybe the opposite is true in the US?
WHAT !!!
Do you mean a Fender amp and EHX pedals can not do the EMG/5150 BRUTALZZ ????
NNOOoooooo . . .
Thank God for a Co. like EHX thar cater for forward thinking muso’s !
Fender user here!
I play a MIA Strat and a Squier Tele, into a Hot Rod Deluxe!
Tele, SG and an agile eight string is what I run with EHX.

I play several different guitars, but my Jazzmasters are my favorites. I also love old Hagstroms. I can’t put my finger on it, but I would definitely agree that EHX users and Fender users are often one in the same. Although, apparently Steve Vai’s Weiner uses EHX and I don’t really see him as much of Fender user… but I could be wrong. I think no matter what style you play or what gear you play, EHX has a a good pedal for you somewhere.
Well, I’m totally biased towards single coils, but I believe it is pretty much common sense that many pedals (mainly dirt) like them better. Most Fenders have single coils, most Gibsons have humbuckers, you do the math.
That said, proud Tele and Strat slinger, 5F6A pusher and EHX stomper!

I do need an SG and maybe a LP, though, but I’ll make them P-90’d.
^^^ 5F6A . . . is that a Bassman of some sort ? ^^^
Yup. The Tweed model. I had one built by my tech with a solid-state rectifier and a different output transformer so I could have 4 and 8-ohm outputs (not the original 2-ohm one). A bit heretic, but sounds awesome. It’s like a Super with no reverb or tremolo.
