My five new fenders guitars arrived all the way from Japan today too!
a ’67 mustang in red, a ’67 mustang in white, a L/H ’67 mustang in Blue, a ’62 jaguar in sherwood green metallic w/matching headstock and a ’62 jaguar in 3-color sunburst.
I use a fender Bassman 135, but none of my guitars are Fenders. Actually I don’t know what brands some of my guitars are. Most of my stuff is done on my Hondo thru-neck. I love it. It just feels so right.
Very happy Fender Blues Jr. user/owner here, and if i can swing it, i will be getting a “bigger” Fender Amp before the end of the year !
Guitar wise, i have a Gibson SG, but is also looking into a Tele to cover my S/C needs !
IF insanity gets hold of me, i might try to push my budget, and get a Jaguar instead !
I use fenders and I have quite a few EH pedals, I’ve always used fender sfor some reason, they just feel right, sound sick and look cool.
I use a Jaguar with humbuckers i installed in it, (super distortion in the bridge/paf in the neck) and a 66 mustang which also has a super distortion humbucker in the bridge, single coil size so I didn’t have to route out a vintage fender.
Fender and EHX go really well together, my twin reverb loves pedals and EHX pedals just happen to be the majority of my pedals. A jaguar into a Big Muff into a twin reverb is probably the best guitar sound ever!
i do, i think most people who use this stuff are not the “rocker” type and tend to want to be a bit more individual (because fenders are unpopular, lulz) but you know what i mean
I guess I’ll be the odd man out. I have always been a Gibson, Marshall and EHX guy. Not all of my equipment is actually of those brands, but my guitars are all Gibson or Gibson-esque, etc. I own a Strat (my dad’s) and a Fender practice amp (Sidekick Reverb 30, actually pretty nice), but when it comes to “my” sound, I prefer the other stuff. It’s all just a matter of taste.
