I got a Deluxe Memory Man re-issue (big box) that I’m told is from around 2006 or so. I’m running my board as follows…
guitar > EB volume pedal Jr. > Fulltone Fat Boost 3 > Fulltone OCD > DMM > Amp
When the pedal is on but disengaged I use the pedals’ level knob to bring it up to a decent volume (though the overload light STAYS on as soon as I touch a string). Then when I engage the delays my initial pick attack loses SO much clarity that I almost have to turn the Blend knob off (completely counter clock-wise) to hear what it should sound like in bypass. The problem with this is that the delays can barely be heard. It seems like my choice is either clarity of pick attack or as mostly WET delay sound. I’v
Also, when I switch the power OFF I lose all my signal for about 20-30 seconds and then it slowly starts coming back. To me this says that it NOT actually true bypass at all. But then again why does the signal fade back in? Weird? Have I got a bad pedal?
I’ve seen where the analogman folks mod these to have a trim pot for the input gain, etc… among other things. Anyone had any sort of usefuls mods done to their DMM? ANyone had the problems I’m having?
What am I missing?
