Title says it all. Because of finances, I can’t purchase everything when it comes out so I’d like to know when something is about to be discontinued. That way I can work on picking one up through my dealer account. I did this last year with the big box Pulsar. I literally got the last one at the factory.

I picked up a tube Hot Tubes and a Tube Zipper immediately after PureTube said that it was likely that they would be discontinued soon. I’m happy to see the Hot Tubes getting a limited run. Is it true that the Tube Zipper and Flanger Hoax will be discontinued soon?

Is that true?I think it’s likely that every non-diecast pedal will come to an end over the next couple of years…maybe ehx are working on a smaller tube range too?
the wind is blowing and I can’t see it changing direction to be honest.

I’m guessing that the Tube Zipper has been one of the most successful EHX pedals in the last 8 years, so it’s hard to imagine them discontinuing it. Still, with the whole line transitioning toward smaller diecast enclosures, it’s not impossible that they’ll phase out the whole tube series. I have most of them now, minus the English Muff’n, the LPB2ube, and the Mic Preamp. I’m debating if I want to keep the Tube EQ. I’m not sure how often I’ll use it, if at all.

most successful you say?
It’s rare to see it on peoples boards.
I think it is underrated.

I guess I mean relative to their other tube pedals. I agree that you don’t see them very often at Harmony-Central anymore.

November 9, 2008 at 12:11 pm #87305tubezipperModeratorBTW Tom, did you ever connect both Tube Zipper’s together?
I guess it’s unpredictable what would happen 😆 Care to try it out?
November 25, 2008 at 5:44 pm #87699puretubeMemberMy suggestion:
1st one “tron” – Y-cable – 2nd one “trill”
outputs into stereo rig… 😆December 2, 2008 at 5:08 pm #87978chisaParticipantQuote:Quote:Great idea! which is a shame, i don’t like the diecast pedals appearance.

The way I see it EHX were only reacting to (and giving) what the majority of people want….it’s sucks for the people that liked them, but you can’t usually please everyone unfortunatly.
