I accidentally powered it on with no speaker attached. Took several minutes before I could smell it, but I powered it off before there was any smoke. No visible signs of heat damage inside, even though it was very warm to the touch, hotter near the power connector. But I’m afraid to connect a speaker now because I don’t want to risk burning up a voice coil on my favorite Weber.
What happens to the Magnum if it’s powered on with no speaker connected? And if I did fry it, can it be repaired ( not under warranty)?
I put the power brick on a meter and it is sitting at a perfect 24v dc output. Not sure how to test the Magnum without using a speaker.
It should have open circuit protection.
But please write the techs and ask them.

Thank You, email is sent with all the details.
How long should I expect to wait for an answer to my email?
I will check and see if they got your mail. please check your spam folder as sometimes it goes there.

Sure enough it went to spam. Thank You, I would have overlooked that because the account I use for this is not one that gets spam.
I have requested to arrange a non-warranty repair.
I had another pedal they serviced for me after I bought it used, so the outcome will likely be just as good this time.
