I just finished my pedal board and then, you guessed it, my DMM vintage chassis stopped working. It will work slightly when the Level is about 5-6 o’clock then it’s silence. It’s got the 2003 circuit. Any ideas what I might need to replace or how to diagnose the troubleshooting process? I bought this direct from the company several years ago…
I’ve emailed Scooter at info@sovtek.com – anyone have luck getting a response from him?
Thanks in advance!
Are you using the correct power supply?
It’s a Model: MKD – 352400100, Output 24v, DC 100ma. I would love if that was the problem!!!
That’s the correct adapter but it might still be bad. Could also be any number of other things including a broken Level pot.
Thanks for the tips. I’ll start with the power supply and maybe the pot on the Level.
Test your DMM outside of your pedalboard with only a good 24VDC adaptor, guitar, and amp hooked up to it. If it works properly that way, the problem lies elsewhere. If the DMM is at fault, as the engineer that designed it I certainly can fix it. Email me privately at howard.davis2@att.net.

Hi Howard, thanks for the offer! I’ve already sent it off to Chip for repair. I did pull it off the board and test it before I posted. I didn’t have a backup 24v so that wasn’t something I could test. I’ve also just ordered a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power II to replace the DC Brick I was using. I’m hoping that’s a sturier option than the ‘wall wart’.
Thanks!
