I’m bidding for a Deluxe Memory Man on EBAY. Here is part of the item description:

“It was on a pedal board so the power cable was shortened, a new AC connector was installed, and the ground pin was filed off. You could replace the AC connector and/or cable, if necessary. (I can’t remember if these units originally had a ground wire or not.)” -from Ebay.

Is this something you could take care of if I sent it to you-install a new power cord of the original length and anything else that needs to be done? I’m clueless when it comes to tech. Approximately how much would it cost? Thank you very much.

I don’t think EHX will fix it but I can do it for $35 plus return shipping.
BTW, I’m pretty sure that’s an early reissue.

Thanks. I will definitely keep this in mind if I am the winner.

I’d be extremely cautious bidding on anything like that unless you know what you’re doing. An analog delay, especially the MM isn’t a beginners pedal to be foolin around with. I’d ask alot of questions and request a good bit of pics to make sure that’s all that’s wrong with it.

Thanks for all your advice. I’ve been having second thoughts about bidding on this item given your feedback. My top bid was $55 and I was outbid moments ago (probably by one of you guys – HA!) I’m sure it’s going to go over $100. Probably over $200. But I became squeamish notwithstanding EH Man’s offer to fix it. (Thnaks EHM.)

You guys rock. By the way, any preference between a new big Big Muff Pi and the Little Big Muff Pi?

I used to own both, I prefer the full size muff, but I know others prefer the little BM. The difference is pretty subtle in all honesty. I’d say get the bigger if you don’t mind the size, if the size is gonna be a problem I’d probably splash out on the BM/tone wicker over the LBM.

Don’t have or have ever tried either of them but I’ve always heard the LBM was better and the tone wicker being the best out of the newer ones.
