I’ve been having a problem with overload and/or oscillation in my deluxe memory man. At low gain and low input, or even with no input, it will go into overload and distort very badly.
I took off the back cover and see lots of pots i can turn with a screwdriver. Does anyone know the proper procedure for calibrating each pot? Anyone had the distortion/overload problem?
I am an engineer and own an Oscope. All I need is the procedure such as what the input should be, where to hook the probes, what levels I should see on the scope, etc.
My guess is that the bias pots for the delay ICs are off. Probably just needs a little tweak.
Since you’re an engineer, what you need to do is monitor the output signal of each BBD while adjusting the trimpot. Set the trim where the signal is least distorted. You’ll need to repeat this for each delay IC.
