hello, ok so i have a couple problems.
first one is that I have an older DMM and the chorus/vibrato does not seem to work? At first I thought it was a bad pot, but I don’t think that’s it. That would just be too easy.
I do have another one so I know what it is supposed to sound like.
The delay works as it should and all the other knobs are functional it’s just that chorus/vibrato that seems to do nothing…
Do you have any ideas as to what it could be?
ok the second problem is that I recently acquired an older Micro Synthesizer and two of the faders were broken off. I can still slide them into place with a screw driver, but i would love to be able to replace them.
Is there anywhere to order these?
and also can I do it without having to solder anything? I have yet to open it up.
thank you in advance

that’s what’s weird, and why I thought it was the pot, maybe it died with the value all the way down? I’m not sure, I just feel like i would still hear something though.Quote:1)2) EH can supply you with replacement sliders fort the Microsynth. Drop them an email.awesome! i will thank you.
-edApril 13, 2009 at 11:13 pm #95615The EH ManModeratorSince you have 2, you might be able to compare the wiring and see if something’s missing. I’d check the Chorus/Vibrato switch wiring and see if it’s still in one piece. Sometimes they come apart just enough to cause problems. You might also check where the Chorus/Vibrato pot solders to the board.
April 13, 2009 at 11:17 pm #95616edkoppelMemberthanks for your help.
i will try that tonight and get back to you afterwords.
thanks again
-edApril 17, 2009 at 12:58 am #95755edkoppelMemberok so i opened up the pedal.
everything looks good inside:
here’s a close up of where the pot and the two wires from the switch connect to the board:
here’s a look from the back (the three larger solder points on the bottom are the pot:
I also checked where it connects to the switch and it looked good, nothing was loose nothing was missing, so……………
who knows?
is there a chip that controls the chorus or anything that could just fail for no reason?
thanks again

April 17, 2009 at 1:15 pm #95765edkoppelMemberthanks,

–ed4 out of 5 of them are set around 50% (keyhole horizontal). 1 is not (keyhole vertical). That one might need some realigning.

I thought they dealt with the delay time/ feedback/ and volume?I mean I really have no idea, I’m just throwing that out there.

I don’t really know either, but if I were trying to save a few $s instead of sending it to an expert, that would probably be the first thing I’d try. Just be sure to mark the current setting in case it was irrelevant.
