Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Deluxe Memory Boy – No Wet Delay Signal, Only Clock Noise
Hi all, I have a new problem with my beloved DMB.
The dry signal goes through but the wet signal is just a hum noise. Also, with the depth knob all the way up, I hear the internal clock working.
I did open her up and checked all the connections and BBD chips. All seems well connected.
Is there an known easy fix?
Any suggestion?
Thank you!
Hey, you maybe accidently set it too dark. Hold expression button for about two seconds until all of the expression lights turn on. Then rotate rate fully left and try if it helps. If it does, then just press (or maybe hold?) expression button once again to turn the lights off.

Hi thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately, other than taking some of the hum down, the expression-button trick didn’t bring the delay signal back. If I adjust “Blend” to 100% wet (delay signal), there is just hum (and the clock sound if “depth” is maxed out, which is probably normal).
So to summarize, everything lights up and the dry signal goes through as it should when the pedal is bypassed.
But with the pedal on and the “Blend” knob fully counter-clockwise, there is the original dry signal, but as the knob is turned clockwise, the dry signal fades as it should but the repeats (delay signal) are not present. just hum noise (and clock noise with “Depth” knob maxed out).
All the chips are well socketed, and nothing smells funny.
What can be wrong here!
Thanks again. folks!
