Hello. I’m new to this Forum and I signed in in particular due to some issues I’ve been having with my [strong]EHX Deluxe Big Muff P[/strong]i, so I hope someone can clarify what follows:
[strong]1 -[/strong] when the tone knob is all counter-clock wise the fuzz gets cleaner and there is a boost in volume. There is only a noticeable increase of low end till 9 0’clock, then, if I continue to counter-clock wise the tone there is a cleansing of the signal [ie, less fuzz] and no change to the low-end.
[strong]2 -[/strong] sometimes the Mids button will not engage that chanel immediatly. Instead, there is a drop in overall volume and the fuzz increases very slowly [as though it’s choking].
I’d like to point out however that I use this awesome pedal with a minumum of fuzz [around 8 o’clock] and no gate for some bluesy creamy goodness and I pump the sustain up when I’m into other kind of sound making with enough gate between stops. These two issues seem to happen regardless of which amount of sustain and gate is set at the moment [but does occur more often then not when the sustain is low.
As a final note I’d like to congratulate EHX for this awesome Fuzz monster and it’s a real shame that one finds close to no video reviews at all anywhere on youtube.
Anyone? Seriously?
