MXR Carbon Copy vs EHX Memory Toy
Any Ideas?
The modulation on the Toy is stronger/wilder than the CC, and also considerably less expensive.
But the CC has internal trimpots to control both the depth and rate of modulation. The Toy only has a trimpot to control the depth, so I think you are stuck with the predetermined rate.
I’m not sure about the quality of the repeats. If the Toy is anything like the Boy, then the repeats are very dark and decompose successively into mush. This is can be an endearing quality for many, and an annoyance for others.
hello all i can say is that no matter how many delay pedals they make none will be perfect.
thats the future nothing works! :freak:
Rickenbacher/ EHX/ Orange/marshall+Zvex forever!!!
repeats turn into mush on all analog delays, that’s sort of part of the charm
Also there’s a third competitor here: Malekko 616
oh yes you can especially in the amp pedal combos i have.
you just need a good splitter. :rawk:
