Just picked up a Space Drum but not getting anything out of it.
Doesn’t seem to be any loose wires or bad connections inside (looks like it’s never been opened up).
I don’t know too much about electronics so was wondering if there was any probable cause or if I just need to check all the individual components.
Cheers, Dan.
A likely problem is the piezo element that triggers it. Short together the 2 wires on the piezo where they connect to the circuit board and see if you get any output.
Thanks for the help.
I’m getting a crackle when I touch the solder on each connection but nothing else when I short them together.
I have a multimeter thing but don’t really know how to use it. Everything I tested seemed to be conducting electricity though.
Just seen the pic at https://www.ehx.com/forums/viewthread/3278/ of that space drum.
Mine is wired completely different, there are 2 resistors on the back of mine and the wiring is way off.
I’ve attached a pic of how mine is wired up.
Thanks, Dan.
Anyone any ideas what ones wired up correctly? Or are they different models?
I’m clueless.
Thanks.
