I’m looking a putting together Tycobrahe Parapedal clone. I’m a complete newb though. I’ve got my schem, and my layout. I know I’ll have to get a custom PCB made. Do I just use the layout, put it into CAD software and send it to one of the custom making companies? Any one have any tips? Ugh, I’m in over my head!
I’d say etch your own. It’s not hard.
Or you could always do perfboard
I think you’d be better off asking your question here:

Lots of good DIY info to be found!
Thanks, I tried to register over there and even after following his special instructions, I’m not activated. I found software for me to put my layout together, but I don’t know what all the symbols. Anyone know a good key to that?
To get custom PCB’s made you need to buy a few hundred to make it worth it or they are quite expensive compared to making them yourself. The advantage of custom made PCB’s is they are nice looking modern PCB’s. However, you need to draw your schematic up in eagle and provide the maker that eagle file or similar program file.
I say just read some tutorials on google and make your own, its easy and you can etch a bunch in half an hour. Drilling takes some time but its all part of the fun.
I use vintage styles copper clad so I much prefer my own PCB’s because they have “mojo”, LOL but they do.

Making PCB’s is easy so read up and learn.
After looking it into some more, I think I’m going to be just ok with perfboard. My guitarist and I are going to try and gather all our parts and build one this weekend. If that goes to plan, he wants one as well. I’ve got an electronically inclined friend (he repairs all my pedals too), to help us out. Hurrah
